What kind of projects does FARO take on?
We work on native Android applications and Node.js backend systems for companies that need to scale existing products or build new ones from scratch. Projects range from internal field-force apps for Apex Global Mobility | Grupo Mariposa to regulated fintech flows with biometrics and banking compliance at NaranjaX. We serve clients in Argentina, Latin America, and globally.
What does AI adoption mean in practice?
AI adoption is the process of embedding tools like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, and AI agents into a development team's daily workflow. It's not a presentation about AI — it's sitting down with the team, diagnosing current processes, configuring the tools, and measuring impact week by week. The typical result is a 40% reduction in delivery time.
Is mentoring only for Android developers?
No. Mentoring is for any developer who wants to grow technically or transition into a leadership role. Frequent topics include software architecture, design patterns, senior interview preparation, the first 90 days as a Tech Lead, and AI adoption.
What's the difference between mentoring and consulting?
Mentoring is an ongoing 1:1 relationship focused on the individual's growth — career development, technical skills, and leadership transition. Consulting is project-scoped and focused on the team or company — architecture audits, AI adoption implementation, or technical direction. Some clients use both: consulting for the team and mentoring for their lead.
How did you reduce cloud costs by 80%?
In the CloudX project we audited the full AWS infrastructure and found oversized components, duplicated services, and an architecture that wasn't leveraging serverless capabilities (on-demand execution that eliminates the cost of permanent servers). We redesigned the system using modern patterns, cutting monthly infrastructure costs by 80% without losing functionality.
What does an architecture audit include?
We review the full digital product: module structure, architecture patterns, dependency management, testing, accumulated technical debt (code that slows the team down), and improvement opportunities. You receive a written report with an honest diagnosis, a prioritized action plan, and a review session with the team to align on priorities.
Can I hire technical leadership without adding a full-time employee?
Yes. We work on a support model with biweekly sessions and asynchronous availability for urgent decisions. It's ideal for companies that need technical direction but don't have the volume or budget for a full-time Tech Lead. We've done this with teams of up to 15 people at NaranjaX, Apex Global Mobility | Grupo Mariposa, and Bolsa de Comercio de Rosario.
Do I need a technical background to hire these services?
Not at all. Many of our clients are CEOs, COOs, or HR leads who know their team needs technical direction but aren't engineers themselves. The exploratory session is designed to understand your situation in plain terms and recommend the right path, whether that's consulting, mentoring, or both.
What's the engagement and pricing model?
It depends on the service. 1:1 mentoring and technical leadership run on a session basis (weekly or biweekly). Architecture consulting and AI adoption are scoped as projects with defined deliverables. In every case, the 60-minute exploratory session comes with no commitment. If it makes sense to move forward, you receive a proposal with scope, timeline, and pricing within 24 hours.
How long before we see results?
With AI adoption, teams typically see measurable improvements within 2 to 4 weeks. For architecture consulting, the diagnosis and action plan are delivered in 1 to 2 weeks, and the first high-impact changes ship in the following sprint. For 1:1 mentoring it depends on the goal: preparing for a senior interview can take 4 to 6 weeks, while a Tech Lead transition is a 3- to 6-month process.
Do you work with companies outside Argentina?
Yes. We work with clients across Latin America and globally, all remote. The working language can be Spanish or English. Time zone coordination has never been an issue — we have experience with distributed teams across multiple regions.
How does the exploratory session work?
It's a 60-minute Google Meet call with no strings attached. We assess your current situation, identify the highest-impact areas, and give you a clear direction. If it makes sense to work together, you receive a proposal within 24 hours. If not, you still walk away with a useful diagnosis.
Who is behind FARO?
FARO was founded by David Figueroa, an Android Tech Lead with more than 18 years of experience. He has worked with companies such as NaranjaX, Apex Global Mobility | Grupo Mariposa, Prosegur, and the Buenos Aires city government. Working with FARO means working directly with David — no intermediaries, no surprise staffing, no layers of management.
